Sukutaulu oli minulle erittäin tärkeä ykköskriteeri, kun lähdin hakemaan tuontiurosta ulkomailta. Halusin koiran hieman tuoreemmasta ja harvinaisemmasta suvusta, jossa ei olisi Suomessa juurikaan tunnettu. Halusin myös harrastuskoiran, enkä suostunut ottamaan koiraa pelkistä näyttelykoirataustaisista vanhemmista. Olin ollut ensisijaisen kiinnostunut brittilinjoista, mutta lopulta Eyonin suvusta löytyy niin englantilaista, saksalaista kuin myös aavistus pohjoismaista verta.

Tutustuin Eyonin isään ensikertaa ollessani näyttelymatkalla Isossa-Britanniassa muuta vuosi sitten ja tykästyin paitsi sen ulkoiseen olemukseen, mutta etenkin luonteeseen. "Dave" on keskikokoa suurempi, syvänmusta tricolour, joka normaalioloissa on äärimmäisen rauhallinen ja sopeutuvainen, mutta .
